A dry chemical powder fire extinguisher, also know as a DCP fire extinguisher is the most commonly used fire extinguisher. It can be identified by a blue instruction label.

According to SANS 1475, fire extinguishers should be serviced annually. 

In a workplace with serious fire hazards (for example, flammable materials or difficult egress as in high rise buildings), fire drills should be conducted at least once every 3 months. In other workplaces every 6 months may be adequate.

Every device connected to the addressable system has its own unique address. When a fire is detected, the device’s address shows up on the main control panel, telling you exactly which device has been activated. With a conventional system, there is no way to pinpointing the exact location of the fire.
